Terra Cotta Candy Jar

I’m always looking for quick & simple to make craft ideas to share with y’all.

I found this one on A Pumpkin & A Princess, and thought it was really cute and easy to make. Plus it would be great for Christmas time in different colors. Hope you love it as much as I do.

Supplies:

  • 6 inch terra cotta pot
  • terra cotta saucer
  • glass fish bowl
  • wooden knob
  • paint
  • ribbon
  • stickers, vinyl, etc. for decorating

Directions:

  1. Paint outside of the terra cotta pot, saucer and knob. You can use regular craft paint or spray paint (I’m using a gloss spray paint). Make sure you don’t paint the inside of the lid! Your candy will be exposed to the bottom of the lid so keep it safe by taping it off if necessary. Make sure paint is completely dry before moving on to step two.

  2. Glue the glass jar to the terra cotta pot using e6000 or a similar industrial strength glue. Place a heavy book on top and let dry for at least 8 hours.

  3. Glue the knob to the saucer using hot glue

      4. Fill your jar with candy and decorate with a ribbon.

You could also add a greeting to the glass out of vinyl.
