As we reflect this week on the last steps of Jesus on earth, we need to remember why all of the events occurred…so that we can be forgiven. There was a purpose and a plan that God put into place for this holy week, this week where we see the passion of Christ played out in actions.
Then Jesus left a second time and prayed, “My Father! If this cup cannot be taken away unless I drink it, your will be done.”
Matthew 26:45
The only way for you and I to be saved was through the blood of Christ Jesus, the pure and ultimate sacrifice. Do you ever think about that priceless sacrifice Jesus made for YOU?
Jesus then took action on the plan. The plan our Heavenly Father had to be united with us in heaven one day. There had to be a sacrifice for our sin.
Our actions speak louder than any words we can speak. As you reflect on these last few days of Passion Week, think about your actions and the actions of Jesus.
Do your actions reflect a follower of Christ or a follower of the fads, trends of this world?
Do your actions reflect the passion and love of Jesus or of your own agenda?
Remember Jesus chose to walk into the city that Palm Sunday, Jesus chose to remain silent as He was falsely accused. Jesus chose to follow the plan of our Heavenly Father…to His death.
A painful death….for you and I.
My dear sister, you are loved by a Father in heaven, you are precious in His sight, you are FORGIVEN!
Now go act like it!
